The Nugget of Truth is an immersive puppet experience we built in a hotel room. In the center of the room is a spinning rotunda that holds 4 puppets.

The experience starts in the lobby where a ticket taker measures you up and gives you wireless headphones. Once everyone has their headphones Chester the greater puppet pops out and sings a song welcoming you to the show.

Participants are then split into two groups. Half go to see a fortune teller who tells you about a being you’re about to meet. The other group sees Surly Sid and Domino who warn you about the being you’re about to meet.

On each side participants are given armor to wear to prepare themselves for battle.

In the next room the two groups reconvene and must go to battle with GARY who has the secret to the nugget of truth.

SPOILERS AHEAD

After battle you are told to go into Gary’s mouth after sacrificing one person. The group, minus one, goes into the mouth where they meet the Little Man in the Tooth. The little man helps them solve a puzzle to escape.

The other person left behind then meets a small puppet that’s trapped in a pipe. They are able to free that puppet and take it with them into the party.

For a few years we had done a free hotline for Halloween called Call Satan Live where people in Los Angeles could call and talk to Satan LIVE. For the release of issue 4 of Kill Pretty I decided to bring it to life. We took the door out of a room in a gallery and put up a glass door. On the inside I painted a red room, created some red stalagmites and a red desk. I had my friend who is a comedian wear realistic Satan make up. We put a cordless phone outside the door so people could talk to Satan but not enter the SATAN ROOM!

For the BAERxOnhell Rave: Peace Love Unity and Regret I was hired to bring BAER's art to life and create some more immersive experiences at the event.

I did a Santa Claus type experience where patrons could come and sit on my lap and get their photo taken. I also did a stage performance as well as activated the whole space with different bits.

For the release of issue 5 of Kill Pretty I organized a team of 14 performers to create an immersive theater experience. Everyone had Kill Pretty uniforms, we built and designed an office and wrote a storyline. Through the night we had editorial meetings, focus groups, Karen’s birthday and our Employee of the Month tried to quit so we locked him in a cage. By the end of the night we hired 40 people that had come to the gallery and enlisted them to make their own issue of Kill Pretty which was sent out digitally after the event.

The Secret of the T.A.C.O. Vortex was in immersive free taco experience I built for @mobilecoincompany at Bombay Beach.

Chase Goldstone is an Indiana Jones type character who came to Bombay Beach to study the mysterious vortex that was spitting out tacos when someone pushed him in. There are four mysterious characters that all had motives to kill Chase Goldstone. Can you solve the mystery?

My favorite part of this was we had portraits of each of the murder suspects with their bio's and little buttons under the photos. These buttons activated sound clips of the characters giving different clues about who they where and their lives. It also included a hole with Tiny Tim the little one armed puppet boy who lives at Bombay Beach and knows all it's secrets. There was also a yarn board of newspaper clippings and clues to the story. There were zines that included the clues and areas to take notes about each murder suspect.

Ended up scoring this incredible arcade carpet brand new that went perfectly with @nickychirch incredible tent.

This was also the debut of Crazy Freddies Food Cubes!

I've always been obsessed with cereal and the shape of cereal boxes. I loved the concept of a toy inside and the whole experience. I created my own cereal called Lucky Toast! The back has a board game with cut out dice and game piece. Each box comes with a toy hand picked by me.

I designed and built the backdrop for this web show. The budget was tight but with a raw brick wall and some nice blues I felt the end product was fun but not distracting.

I worked in the woodshop at Urban Outfitters for over a year. There I helped build all the fixtures, window displays and set pieces for the Melrose location. I learned everything about power tools and working in a woodshop there.

Customized cigarette pack for my friend Julia! A lot of places overseas have disgusting images of people with cancer and dead babies on their cigarette packages. I made these packs for Julia so she could smoke in style instead of carrying around a photo of a cancer ridden tongue in her back pocket.

Incase you didn't know cigarette cause cancer. They are also super nasty. Don't smoke, it's gross.
